The straw boater is the quintessential British summer hat, ideal for punting, boating or other watery pursuits. The classic boater is also known as the boatman, boater or skimmer. This one comes with a burgundy resented ribbon or band.
Olney's traditional straw boaters are made the old fashioned way from 100% sennit straw, they have been made in England since 1910.
Crafted from sennit straw in a tight weave pattern and finished with a smart burgundy Petersham ribbon
This hat is unlined but has a discreet brown leather inner sweatband, which has a couple of cracks to the leather commensurate with age.

Inside the hat there is a removable silk and net protector to prevent grease or macassar oil from hair getting onto the inside of the hat, marked Olney headwear.
