The bag bears the G in a triangle which is the logo for Garfield of London
Elbief frame with beautiful gold tone fittings.
The interior of the bag's frame displays the round Elbief England' mark
A Birmingham based company that made frames for quality British handbags dating from around the late 1940s through to the late 1970's.

The outer shell is in remarkably good condition
The inside suede lining is extremely clean
Snap recessed closure clasp
The clasp and frame shuts tightly and squarely together.
The base of the bag is clean
The handles are single stitched and in very good condition
Inside there is one brass zipped pocket and one open mirror pocket which contains a Stratton Compact In a black faux leather case
The Stratton Compact is 1960s brass, round with a small starburst design to the front and small star pattern to back with the central Stratton name.
Inside the Compact is clean with a sifter and replacement puff.
There is some foxing to the mirror.and some external signs of use
Very clean good condition.
